Couldn't have played much worse - he had a real off day. Nothing stuck, didn't make the most of his one good chance. Might have got a pen (I thought he dived). But then none of our starting forwards played well - all a bit static and slow except for the 20 mins before half time when we played with much more pace and Jens was running the show

No. He was poor. Very little stuck to hi and when he did try a first time lay off most times it failed. Also missed a glorious chance in the second half 6 yards out.

As you say, he needs a goal

Poll: Our final position

He didn't play well and missed a great headed chance but much to his credit he never let his head drop and worked his socks off . I think the Penalty incident could be viewed either way not sure the ref got it wrong .

He hasn’t had a great start to the season and I can’t see him starting much longer!

Lots didn't stick for him and the headed chance was taken poorly even if it did come quite quick. Did make one superb pass out to get MacAteer into a good position but the latter made a mess of the chance.

Like many of the forwards he probably needs to do one thing really well once to get the confidence to kick on.

He was dreadful yesterday. Probably the worst performance I have seen from him in a Town shirt. Unless he improves dramatically after the international break I will be surprised if he is leading the line for much longer. Tbh, I was just glad he wasn’t on the pitch when we got the penalty as no doubt he would have took it and on yesterday’s performance probably would have missed.

🤷‍♂️def pen and then we win the game. Can’t see how anyone other than the ref can debate whether that was a pen.

He did make a meal of it, and that's because he took such a poor first touch the ball got away from him so he had to try and buy a penalty to get anything out of it. It was clever play had it been given, but it's one of those I hate against us because the striker instigated contact then goes over. It summed him up yesterday. I don't think he's been very good at all this season - I was surprised when Phil mentioned the neutrals he was with thought he was MOTM against Southampton.

Well i'm not going to argue and at the game i too thought it was but on several viewings and taking Souper Jim 's opinion into consideration now i can see why the Ref did not give it . The yellow was poor maybe just the Ref's way of saying i'm sure that was a dive .

Not at his best, but worked his socks off as normal. The service wasn't great, but he either needs a goal or a change of system. I think we are relying on him too much.

If we scored the penalty that would have put us back in a strong position, but not sure how it could be said with certainty that we win that.
