We get a brief mention but apparently they are the big club in Europe now...

"While there was an aligned clarity that significant quality additions were imperative to their ambition of reaching the Premier League - the headline-grabbing sums spent signify a drastic turnaround for a team whose fans raised £100,000 in 24 hours to rescue their club amid the threat of expulsion from the Football Conference as recently as 2011."

Obviously, I'm only semi-literate, so shouldn't comment, but that's quite a sentence. "Aligned clarity" in particular, is getting tucked away for next time I need some management w@nk talk

Has anyone ever looked at their own postings for last day or so? Oh my... so sorry. Was Ullaa

Quite a few people stated confidently that they wouldn't be able to do this but with some of the deals they have it was never really in doubt. Let's hope we and others can fend them off.

I don't think anyone has doubted they could buy a lower mid table team with very limited resale value.

Quite a few teams have spent big and not got out of this league (see Derby!)

I'm nit sure on the finances and I'm sure manipulation has been done. It all feels a bit false but it is what it is. The top teams can do it.

I really hope they don't do it ever, but atleast for a few years anyway!

I think they've bought really well if their aim is to consolidate at this level. 75% of that £30m is probably good for 5 years when you look at where the big sums have gone. £2m for each of Coady and Moore is a little punchy, but if they contribute over the next 2 seasons that's decent business.

Comfortably mid table this season I reckon, with a view to investing again over the next couple of windows to push on from there.

£2m for Moore is a bargain

"While they agreed that..."

Or, if they must write in the passive voice:

"While there was agreement that..."

Or:

"While it had dawned on them that..."

Or:

"Sometimes over the summer, someone looked at their squad and the penny dropped that..."
