As an aside, he's Walle Egeli in surname terms rather than just Egeli. That's what will be on his shirt.

Apart from mcateer on 14:25 - Sep 4 with 712 views | Everydayblue | Glad the newbie midfielders are all in the building... That pivot is so important to us. Once we get a really settled 2/3 in midfield Matusiwa plus A,N,Other, I think we'll see a more composed defence with fewer open play errors.. I'm guessing it will be a bit of "Horses for courses" as to when Nunez gets a start ahead of Jens. Think all three of them are class at this level. Can't wait for that pivot to click again. It was always our Achilles heal, pre Massimo. Once KM solved that problem last time. We really took off. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Yep very important Apologies to J2 if he reads this, he's right there's plenty of partnerships and patterns to be learned within this two weeks, not ideal not having the defenders there, but our issue really has been the top end so that's helpful

I know everyone wants to see the front 4 firing, and it will come.. But for me atm, our problems lie in how we are defending. There's a lack of confidence and a bit of panic imo. Born from not keeping a clean sheet for the last 27 years.. Had we kept clean sheets this season, we'd be sitting on 3 wins and a draw. As it is, the way we are conceding at least a goal a game. It's putting extra pressure on our forwards to score at least 2 goals for a win... Which they should be well capable of, given the firepower in the squad. But it all feels a bit nervy and edgy at times, imo. Need that swagger back.

I couldn't disagree more really, overall we've had the 2nd best xGA in the league, for a nervy defence that's a cracking record really. one of the highest XGS but our shots on target is awful, that's been the issue Individual errors at the back however have been a bit annoying but when you look at them how much of a mistake are they? Oshea chest down, 9/10 that bounces down in front of him and he's clear, they are annoying moments, but not really ones we have to be worried about.

Are we going to see a starting front 4 of Jaden,Jack, akpom and Azon? 2 weeks of training together makes sense

I mean....... We've just broken a club record for not keeping cleans sheets in a row?
