McKenna & Ashton Interview 21:17 - Sep 5 with 6464 views | 2-5-7 | Very, very good to hear things directly from the two top who really drive our Club. We have a very, very good manager and a very, very good Chairman CEO. Culture at core will carry us ultimaley this season. Well spoken and well timed. Not all clubs are lucky enough to have that level of insight shared, and that stands us in good stead in whats been a topsy turvy old few weeks.
McKenna & Ashton Interview on 13:54 - Sep 6 with 857 views | ITFC_Forever | Damned if they do and damned if they don’t. It would have been very easy for other clubs / ITFC owners to keep their heads down after a less than ideal start to the season. But MA & KMc do a piece to keep the fans informed and not hide - and still some people moan. Other than the retro ones. I avoid ITFC Facebook groups like the plague, but other people I know participate in them and so I see what’s going on on some of them… and some have people calling for McKenna to go because a few fan favourites have left. Other than Omari and Liam who were always going to stay in the Prem if we went down, no-one has gone to a bigger / better club. This is football, players come and go all the time and it just happens we have had a crop come through our club that have cemented themselves in our history forever. But time moves on, they can’t and won’t be here forever - as I posted the other day, it’s the end of an era… time to build a new one, and I absolutely trust in MA & KMc to do that.

McKenna & Ashton Interview on 22:49 - Sep 5 by Cafe_Newman | Even more people appear to forget that the league is not some life-sized console game where the team with the most expensively assembled team tends to win. |
Although whyou spend that sort of money in real life, like we have, most supporters will expect them to be top 6. I’m not convinced on anything yet however. I’m not sure these players work as a team.

They're not working well enough as a team to finish top 6 at the moment, nor do I expect them to do so very soon as most of the new signings haven't started a game yet. That said, I'm still optimistic that they'll improve and finish top 6 in May. We still have 42 league matches to play.
McKenna & Ashton Interview on 15:06 - Sep 6 with 736 views | PioneerBlue | If I’m honest no one wants to hear a load of people moaning because their own personal expectations aren’t being met. Progress as a club in its infrastructure, squad, and results on the pitch is the ultimate measure and MA and KMck will have to demonstrate all is heading in the right direction. It doesn’t need anyone to point this out weekly. Both have now acknowledged the full reset and the club isn’t putting artificial timelines on meeting club objectives. We’ve now got back to where we were in Aug 2023/24 in a much stronger position. We would likely have aimed to progress over a couple of seasons. Now we aim for an immediate return, or at the very least strong demonstration we are on track at various points in time but we know the progress isn’t typically linear. Time to sit back and let’s games and time play out a bit. The season is long, the life of a supporter is long. Let’s all focus on the little steps we need to go through to show progress. Winning a game would be a good start. [Post edited 6 Sep 18:01]

McKenna & Ashton Interview on 22:03 - Sep 5 by SufolkBlues123 | Let’s not beat around the bush. It was a number of carefully selected questions, asked by a close friend of both, with carefully planned answers. |
What possible reason could you have to be so negative about the interview?!

McKenna & Ashton Interview on 12:37 - Sep 6 by Cheltenham_Blue | Based on some of the replies I’ve seen to MuckyJoe on this thread it’s clear the best thing I’ve done is div list him. |
You have 😮! He’s far from the worst on here imo so you much have a big old div list!

McKenna & Ashton Interview on 21:41 - Sep 5 by Vic | There was a lot of talk of taking time for the new team to click into gear. Can’t help wonder if there is a deliberate attempt to moderate expectation. |
Given the circumstances expectation needs to be moderate.

Different strokes Vic. I have expanded my div list from zero to around 6-7 in the last few weeks.

McKenna & Ashton Interview on 23:45 - Sep 6 with 268 views | itfcsuth | Also grateful for them doing the couple of ‘big interviews’ they do during the season, I think it’s a good play and through any good or bad, you cannot knock them for their communication to the fans - it is absolutely top. Thought KMc spoke impeccably, and I still maintain he’s one of the brightest young coaches in the world, and a sticky start to the season doesn’t change that. I don’t think our business has been perfect over the last 12 months, I personally think there are things the club would different if they had the opportunity, but you can’t change that now. We have a new group, what feels like a brand new group, and generally it takes time for group to get to grips with each and the managers methods - I still think they’ll be some sticky performances ahead, but I think we will see things click into gear sooner rather than later.
