I was excited when we signed this youngster, that loads of top teams once chased, even thought of ad an actual child genius, surely Mckenna could work with this!
Seemingly no where near the 1st team, I thought I'd do a quick Google on him
He has a Ltd company set up as his name on companies house?
Is this normal, is this just modern football?
Or are his family expecting a lot from his name and brand [Post edited 6 Sep 7:50]

I think most players would do that for image rights, which form part of most contracts now, even if they are a youngster and there aren't many rights to talk of.
I gather than image rights get paid there and can be offered as longer term security by paying the player out for many years after playing as an annual stipend, after monthly paycheques stop coming. |  | | |

We've had a longstanding addiction to being terrible in Cup competitions over the last couple of decades. We've also had an inability to bring youngsters through to become successful members of the first team.
It's conceivable that there's at least some element of causation linking those two.
But then, advocating a change in approach to Cup competitions seems to be the wrong priority whilst we're 20th in the league. |  | | |
