No, I wouldn't be chasing someone around the board about something so minor.
We're not talking about the full spectrum of Philosophy, so whether I did a module or a full degree is incosequential. Studying logical fallacies would be a small part of any course, whether it were a full degree on philosophy or a module on philosophy. There is no degree dedicated solely to the study of logical fallacies, which is what we were discussing.
Funnily enough, this is another example of a straw man argument.
And I'm not surprised to see the 'new improved' Glassers up-arrowing you on something so pathetic and minor.

My Mrs is in her second year at uni doing a Politics degree as a mature student at the age of 58, so I appreciate the hard work and sacrifice mature students put themselves through.

I've never said a module on logical thinking is a degree in philosophy, nor have I remotely pretended it was.
The point I was making, if you can remember back that far, was that I tend to forget some people don't know about the logical fallacies, and I only did because of going to uni. I was having empathy with other members of the board, and wasn't remotely pretending anything.
The irony of your self-awareness comment is not lost on me.
Like many others who have lost the will to live trying to debate your bad faith tactics, I will now put you on ignore. I wonder if your own self-awareness will help you reflect on why so many are doing so. A clue: it's not because you're so brilliant. | |
