Anyone you know? on 18:33 - Sep 15 by The_Flashing_Smile | Bit of a weird day out, but each to their own. I quite like to go to Tate Modern when I travel into central. Sometimes one of the markets. Maybe watch some music, comedy, or take in a show. There's every type you could wish for. I've never had the urge "march for a bit" as a day out. |
Sounds sh1t, direct me to the march.

I flew down to London for a few days for my wedding anniversary a few years ago. Did the restaurants, the bars and the Borough Market. But it also coincided with the "Refugees Are Welcome" match to Parliament Square. So we took part in that. Got talking to a lovely chap on the march from the SWP who was sporting a green Mohican, jeans, bovver boots, a studded leather jacket and a white T Shirt with "Tory Scum" emblazoned on it. I didn't tell him much about my political views at the time. But it was a good day out. Your mate Corbyn was one of the speakers. I may have nodded of during that part.

Fair enough. I'm pretty sure you got my point though.

Anyone you know? on 16:35 - Sep 15 by textbackup | Many would have treated it as a day out, joining the march for a bit, then heading off into the city. Not everyone was at the front foaming at the mouth. |
I'm not sure where I've said anything about anyone foaming at the mouth. So just to ensure this is clear in my mind. You say people would have treated as a day out and nothing else. There is every chance it may be true for a few attendees. The mysterious bishop we've heard about for example. But can we at least agree that the event was organised by the far right and that most, if not all, speakers were far right activists? If we do agree this is the case (which perhaps is a little rhetorical as we both know the answer really), then can we also agree that most, and again by no means all, attendees knew this before they decided to attend?
| Distortion becomes somehow pure in its wildness. |
