The irony is that you have the likes of Vance wanging on about the threat to free speech in Europe while they are literally banning books from libraries, dictating the content that museums should curate, and financially extorting universities to behave as they want them to behave, which includes clamping down on some forms of peaceful protest. Personally I find it great that they want to unite the multi-cultural kingdom of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland regardless of religion, skin colour and political beliefs. They must feel sad that there is so much popularity for it to be split from those in Northern Ireland who want a united Ireland instead, and those in Wales and Scotland (and even Cornwall and Yorkshire) who want independence. |  |
