Ipswich Women and Norwich Women ticket sales for today 11:11 - Sep 14 with 2413 viewsMark

I just looked up the announcements of tickets sold so far for today's matches:

Ipswich Women v Nottingham Forest, WSL2 (second tier), JobServe Community Stadium Colchester: 1,000

Norwich Women v Luton, FAWNL Division One South East (fourth tier), Carrow Road Norwich: 3,000

I expect the final attendances will be higher so will check later.

I read the WSL2 average attendance last season was 2,086. I don't think Ipswich Women were far below that last season in the league below, largely thanks to the Portman Road match.

They have the odd game at Carrow Rd , it draws a bigger crowd , as do our woman, last game at Portman Road for the woman drew in over 10,000 a far better comparison .

Worth noting they only get around 600 at the nest, normally. Ours is a difficult gig, that's a good attendance today and probably higher than most games last season due to the capacity - but the women aren't going to win a lot this year and it's going to be difficult to keep building a crowd.

Yes, the Portman Road game was a fantastic crowd, in a league where we could choose an opponent we were almost certain to beat such as Plymouth. I suppose Norwich did the same today with Luton.

Yes, I expect the attendances will drop off.

Forest had an attendance of 1,880 in their first home match at the City Ground last weekend, so not that high either.

Why did they move to colchester?

I thought they had a good set up at Felixstowe.

Miles off again today by all accounts, back down to the 3rd tier it seems.

RIP Sir Bobby

Felixstowe did not meet WSL2 ground standards, so the team had to move to a better stadium. I am not sure why we opted to rent Colchester Utd's ground rather than playing at Portman Road, as attendances would have been higher in Ipswich. Birmingham, Bristol City, Charlton, Nottingham Forest, Sheffield Utd and Southampton play at their main stadiums.

Felixstowe didn't meet the standards required.

It's gonna be a tough season - last year 8 points would've kept you up. We basically need a minimum of three wins from the remaining 18 games. Unfortunately today was one of those we probably needed something from.

Gonna be a long season.

Felixstowe's capacity was not much different to the crowd at Col U.

Did not get that many at Felixstowe until the last game

You've made two posts and they're both stinking. You're looking for the pink forum.

Unlike Norwich fans, and the club as a whole, we do actually care about our Women's Team, so take your Stuart Webber based views elsewhere.

Not sure why you are receiving a few downvotes
I assumed it was common knowledge that most of the tickets were given to various organisations

There are 2 relegation spots. Bottom goes down. 2nd bottom has a play-off v a team from the level below.

Our current side would walk any play-off, so just need to finish above bottom.

Ground grading requirements for WSL2 were the reason.

Much better performance yesterday v a team who have spent very big. We will be ok, but need a bit of patience - it is a big step up.
