Cardiff v Nantes 18:01 - Sep 17 with 1044 viewsgtsb1966

Who is in the right here. Cardiff had actually signed the player .It's all very distasteful whatever the outcome.

Without wishing to prejudice any verdict, it’s hard to see how Cardiff fulfilled their duty of care to an employee by using an under qualified pilot and that this case is purely about avoiding having to pay out a transfer fee.

I am not fully sure but are they saying as Nantes arranged the dodgy plane they bare responsibility for his death and Cardiffs subsequent relegation, which could have been avoided with his goals ?

Sounds like a fishing episode, not sure why Nantes were organising his flight if he has signed for Cardiff.

Isn't that the point of their case though, it wasn't cardiff who used an under qualified pilot it was nantes?

a niche perspective

....podcast series on BBC Sounds (I think) about it.

It concentrates on the pilot/plane situation, which was a shambles from start to finish for many reasons.

Well worth a listen.

Cardiff have been trying every trick in the book to get some money back. They first started off saying they hadn’t signed him so didn’t need to pay the fee (despite releasing all the promo of him signing, holding up the shirt, introducing him to the fans at a half time). That was thrown out by the court. Hopefully this will be too.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

All sounds very tenuous, Cardiff wouldn’t organise the flight so Nantes did but via an agent via another separate entity Henderson, which all feels very distant to Nantes having knowledge.

That’s without the whole Sala would have kept us up thing

But yes in very bad taste

When you read this a qualified pilot was meant to fly the plane but didn't so I can't see how Cardiff can blame Nantes.

It's here.

A truly tragic story from many angles - nobody other than the poor player comes out of it with any respectability.

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.
