This is an exceptionally beautiful song and is described thus on Karine Polwart's website.
"This comes with a big nod of thanks and respect to the Occupy Movement, especially at St Paul’s in London, for ringing a bell that needs ringing. The king of birds in mythology is The Wren, a motif for Sir Christopher. The song tracks the symbolism of St Paul’s cathedral set against the backdrop of The Great Fire of London, The Blitz and The City of today."

Another Karine song about birds, from a bit earlier. A couple of decades ago I lived in the Fens and was rarely home before ten in the evening, my headlights would often disturb a heron just before the house and I would drive along in its wake:
If you haven't heard her 'Great Scottish Songbook' and remember the stadium rock of Big Country it's worth looking up her radical reworking of Stuart Adamson's 'Chance'.

I've got three or four of her earlier albums but not that one.
I'll give that song a listen.
