My 2 Gripes 22:18 - Sep 27 with 1058 views | No_Moore_Kieffer | And neither are about the on-field progress, which I think is coming on brilliantly, as most of us believed it would! However - 1) Access to SAR... ridiculous! We've got some 3rd rate 'security' company checking bags and scan searching, but then ignoring any beeps, whilst most of them in reality couldn't tackle a shot-to-bits Jonathon Douglas, let alone anyone trying to cause a bit of trouble. But worse than that, the security fencing that forces everyone in one way, through a tight space, that takes 10 minutes to navigate and squeeze through causes so much frustration that people are entering the ground in a dampened spirit. Why is it there? Just take the fence away, let people access turnstiles from any direction as per SBR and the whole process would be faster, smoother and more customer friendly. 2) Secondly, whilst I think Dave Vant does a decent job on the mic, the best we've had since Rob Chandler, and I know he doesn't write the script, but does anyone else find it really irritating when he refers to us every single time as "YOUR Ipswich Town"... we're just Ipswich Town, there's no need for the "your"... also, the way he says "Leif" in that deep, pantomime style. But anyway, in a more positive light - 2 fantastic performances against Sheffield United & Portsmouth, especially given that, for no obvious reason, we've had a blank weekend in between the two!

My 2 Gripes on 22:34 - Sep 27 with 883 views | Churchman | The ‘Your’ thing is very American. And I hate it too. Regarding access, I was late and arrived at 2.40. There was an awful lot of people out of the back of North Stand and the West Stand (my destination) entrances queuing. Anyway, got to the front of the queue and the security dude waved his wand over me. I was actually holding two pairs of glasses (don’t ask), wallet, phone, car key in a wallet thing. Tbh, I could have been holding a hand grenade in one hand a a Dirty Harry .44 Magnum in the other for all the interest shown. Ok I’m a sad old git and hardly look fresh out of terrorist training school, but there looked an awful lot of tokenism which meant a heck of a lot of people queuing in a small area behind both stands. This has been a problem for some time now. Surely the club can do better.
My 2 Gripes on 22:39 - Sep 27 with 837 views | Dubtractor | All I'm going to say, is that I can heartily assure you that it is not a "faster, smoother and more customer friendly" experience getting into the North. It was a shambles again today, any anyone wanting to get from one end of the stand to another won't have had a lot of fun trying.

Well, I'll sleep easier tonight knowing that it isn't just us lot in SAR that are having a negative experience trying to get into a football ground! I'm not really sure what the answer is - do they still only open about half of the turnstiles at SBR? I never understood why they weren't all open

Yes, it's definitely a tokenism, I assumed it was a PL requirement, and we're now just keeping it in place with a view to promotion, but there were very minimal 'checks' last season at away grounds, so I don't understand the purpose... we're in one of the safest parts of the country!

The club will need to do something to improve it if they ever want planning to make the stadium bigger.

My 2 Gripes on 22:51 - Sep 27 with 719 views | LankHenners | Outside the Cobbold they've put the fences back in which help to stop the queues snaking into each other but for some reason at my turnstile they only had one member of the security staff standing at the turnstile scanning everyone and doing bag checks. Led to a huge backlog and eventually she seemed to give up scanning most people and just had a cursory check of people's bags to hurry the process up, making the whole thing rather pointless. Clearly understaffed and not well organised enough. Agree think Vant does a decent job and some of the criticism of him is way OTT and moaning for moaning's sake but yeah some of the stuff he's obviously been told to say is daft and cringey. The 'your' thing when announcing goalscorers is unnecessary as well.

My 2 Gripes on 22:53 - Sep 27 with 683 views | Mark | It was more crowded than ever in Sir Alf Ramsey Way, behind the north stand, really hard to get past and that can't be good for safety. I also dislike the "your" before Ipswich town, agreed. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Half are for the lower tier and the other half for the upper tier.
My 2 Gripes on 23:17 - Sep 27 with 469 views | lazyblue | You have thousands of fans trying together in between 2.30-3pm , just get in at 2.25 as walked straight in to SAR.
My 2 Gripes on 23:28 - Sep 27 with 363 views | SuffolkPunchFC | How late do you guys try to enter the stadium? We usually arrive to go through the turnstile 45+ mins before kickoff, and never experience any of this. If you leave it late, and loads of others do the same, are you really surprised. You only have yourselves to blame.

My 2 Gripes on 03:28 - Sep 28 with 79 views | Stenvict | The service in SAR Upper and Beattie's is unbelievably slow. Surely by now they know roughly how many pints they sell, so get some pre poured. Agree on the security. Just pointless. Beep. "Is that keys in your pocket?" No, it's a knife. "OK, in you go"
