In no way writing him off but he is beginning to echo what Leicester fans told us when he signed.

Struggling to see what he offers on the right at the minute - he works hard, but seems tepid to take on the man and get a cross in. I can’t really remember him doing anything of note in his first five games. Frustrating watch at times.

Hopefully can click soon and nab a goal to kick start him as McKenna is clearly liking him.

I thought it was a cr@p signing when it happened, but he's been even worse than I thought he'd be. His touch is dreadful and hasnt ran past his defender once since he's been here. Literally paid £12m for a younger slower Kayden Jackson.

My main problem is his attitude: he comes across as a little bit of a self-entitled slight-almost-cheat in his play, rather than a team-player and one who gets on with playing. Not entirely, but more hinting in that direction.

I am not an expert, obviously, but perhaps it's more of a feeling over the past few games I have seen him play.

For example, Jack Clarke last night put in a good shift for the team, and took a lot of stick, yet just got on with his job. I don't think McAteer has quite that same attitude.

I hope I am wrong.

As i said last night, if Mendel is putting in performances against top prem u21 players, then he's got to start training with the first team imo.

That standard is way below first team though. They may be top Pl u21 teams but they don't exactly shine against League 1 or 2 opposition in that Cup competition

Let's get this right, if he was any good Leicester would not have sold him to a rival.

Kayden was actually much quicker, possibly as good ha

Based purely on what I have seen so far, Kayden Jackson was way better.

It's another classic case of the player he replaced being equally as good if not better.
