Don’t think you can ever be disappointed with an away draw. 11:00 - Oct 1 with 738 viewsSitfcB

Even better if it’s sandwiched between two home wins.

Can be disappointed with our tepid attack though, changing the whole front 4 didn’t really pay off, appreciate we have the squad now and the games are coming thick and fast but probably too much change, not much in it up top for both sides really.

After getting level I thought we were going to pick it up a bit but it never really happened, can’t recall the Bristol City GK making any proper save.

Shouts for Jack Clarke and Greaves, probably the best of the bunch.

We didn’t lose, so was happy with that.

Bristol is a long way on a Tuesday innit, great away support again though.

Onto Sunday…

It is a long way, did not get back until 3am!

That is one of the most stand out observations from this season, how little we test the opposition keeper. Even when we score a couple we only seem to have another 1-2 shots on target. We either don't want to shoot and keep working it side to side (looks pretty but not effective) or when we do shot, the shots are woeful - like miles over the bar or past the post.

We need to be forcing the keeper into 7-8 saves a match and we may pick up rebounds/deflections and would get more goals.

We are lack lusture up front compared to the promotion season with better players not sure what the problem is,
But as you say win Sunday( I think we will) and 7 from 9 is better form,

Feels a bit Man City/Pep in that we are so far coached that no one is willing to just play on instinct and make something happen. If the pattern is not there we turn back and recycle.

Sometimes in a game we need to do something different. Like last night, if you are the opposition you could leave Furlong and McAteer alone all night, nothing is going to be created down there. Every time we switch to the left for the left winger to cut in or Davis to overlap.

We need someone to try and few shots or run through the middle to make something happen.

Agree on the right a major problem why Clarke was doubled up that should leave a man spare on the right, still did nothing,

For Mick, I think it was a case of "Every point's a prisoner".

I think this is the problem: we’re waiting on a moment of individual brilliance, whereas we were at our best when we function as a team. All the dead end runs of Clarke are him trying to do something. It’s hard when teams sit in though. Again, our best in previous years is when we played through a high press and broke at speed. Teams aren’t pushing up on us now. That may be partially us, but the game’s also changed. Many more teams are happy to sit a bit more and then try and go a bit more direct with fast transitions. We seem to have gone the opposite way and slow it all down.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?
