Idiots throwing things on pitch 07:10 - Oct 6 with 2493 viewsJohn_Grose

If anyone here knows/saw any of the idiots in the Sir Bobby throwing things on the pitch have a word. Things like that can get points deducted or closed stands if they get repeated and we are better than that aren't we?

Always one trying to put a negative on stuff
Keeper was being dramatic, nothing in it..... move along

Not only their keeper who passed a vape to Ref , Leif passed a small alcohol bottle to the Linesman.

Cookra/Sitters. Have a word with yourselves fellas.
I agree the keeper made the most of it, but that's his perogative. He wasn't to know the next one wasn't aimed at him.
Throwing stuff on the pitch is a bellend thing to do. What exactly was it aiming to achieve?
Do you both want to be associated with that?
I wouldn't go as far as to say you seem to be defending it, but neither of you seem to be condemming it like most sensible fans would do.
Just have a think about it. It's not great is it and it risks taking the shine off an incredible day.

The other thing that may happen as a result, if it was a miniature bottle and the smoke bomb as well, they may make the searches even more stringent on the way in, causing further delays than normal.

“Flare” makes it that bit more dramatic for those that get off on making big dramas out of everything

Smoke bombs and flares are clearly chucked as a celebration, and I for one love it. No one is tryng to hit anyone with them. Obviously the Man doesn't like it, but that's another story.

Lighters or vapes or whatever are thrown at the oppo player/s. I agree it's not that big a deal but some will vehemently disagree with that, and that's their opinion. Again, it's another story. My point is spotting the difference, and anyone condoning chucking lighters etc. at players is a fecking moron, however much of a big deal or drama or not you think it is.

No I wouldn’t.

Why would I be able to identify the thrower?

I assume he thinks you were standing near him…

Be it a flare or a smoke bomb (from where I sit, all I saw was blue smoke rising from the pitch), how can anyone condone or defend throwing these onto the pitch during play?

Not only is it irresponsible, it could get result in serious punishment for the club.

My point is to counter the assertion here that chucking lighters and the like at players is somehow part of "celebrating" and is okay. It isn't, ever.

Smoke bombs... I get your view and respect it. I like them though, and I'd rather they were on the pitch* than in a crowded stand re health issues for some fans.

* I understand they could hit a player by mistake and this is partly why they are banned.

Which is my fault. I mean stuff that isn't going to cause any injury. Okay, maybe a vape would, but I've never even held one so don;t know how heavy they are.

I've clearly stated that anyone condoning (i.e. not criticising) chucking lighters etc. is a moron, regardless if it's relatively a "big deal".

Needless to say, one of the items was what appeared to be a miniature bottle of alcohol. So, now throwing a glass bottle is ok apparently. The logic of some fans!

The same fans who will be moaning about tightened security at our next home game meaning they didn’t get in until the match had started.

I know it is an evening game but try an get there earlier
