OK, brace yourselves for this view on Luton sacking Bloomfield 22:01 - Oct 7 with 2273 views | WeWereZombies | From the BBC website asking Luton fans thoughts: 'James - It is a shame as he is a promising young manager, but results speak for themselves and Luton, while probably having a target on their backs, have underperformed. I would suggest the next manager needs to be someone with a bit more experience. It may be a bit of a left-field choice but I think Paul Lambert would be a good option.' https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/luton-town

This is getting to be like a bingo card: 'Niall - The appointment was wrong from the beginning, not just the lack of experience but considering the options that were available at the time. Need to avoid Luke Williams, Russell Martin or Wayne Rooney and pick someone available with the correct mentality to succeed (Steve Bruce, David Wagner, Steve Evans etc). Even being linked with Sean Dyche, but not sure any fans would be keen on his style of play.' https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/luton-town Would be a shame if they appointed Dyche as I really want to see him go to Rangers so that the finals days of Mccarthy at Town are reflected for almost an entire season.

A two for one - he can record his reasons for a loss and also do the flight announcements for delays at the airport, without having to change the tone of his voice.

Can’t see Dyche taking a league 1 job, he’ll still be expecting that emergency rescue call from a PL panicker. I can see the Forest owner desperately going for him once that stroppy Aussie chancer gets the boot. Poor old Omari won’t get a look in if that happens. Russell Martin certainly won’t want it, so they’ll realistically be choosing between Steve Bruce or someone like Mark Hughes.

I quite like Ange and hope he turns the Forest situation around, and gives Omari more game time - even a regular place in the starting eleven. My opinion is that Rangers sacked Clement without sufficient reason and paid the price with Martin, Man Utd sacked Solskjær for no good reason and paid the price with ten Hag, now Luton have done the dirty on both Edwardes and Bloomfield - they deserve Paul Jewell...

When you say 'their' fans, do you mean their equivalents of the likes of Dark Horse and Denny? [Post edited 8 Oct 21:07]

So that means Manning will be a free agent soon then. Pity I hoped he would stay and do more dammage.

Actually my comments about Rangers sacking Clement, Man Utd sacking Solksjaer and Luton sacking both Edwardes and Bloomfield would apply if Nodge sack Manning. He has a mainly young and inexperienced squad and, as we saw for the first twenty minutes on Sunday, he can get a tune out of them. Just enough to keep them in the second tier if we go up so that they can receive the full darkness of our shadow upon them...

After a brief look at the Oinkun, Manning is not winning many friends in the land of the six fingered ones. Mind you, the Director of football is taking a battering too. Personally, I think manning will do a good job for them if he’s allowed to and is supported. It’s easy to sneer at giving people time, not least because in the modern world it’s deeply unfashionable. The point is, who else are they going to get? Same with Luton. Bloomfield did a good job at Wycombe, has only been there 9 months in charge of a team whose confidence had drained away along with their Wimbledon 80s way of playing.

Manning's biggest problem is their home form. They have lost all 4 League games plus a League Cup game. They've all been close games that they've lost by the odd goal, but losing the derby will add to the pressure. They looked an average Championship team to me & I thought they competed well against a better team on Sunday until our strength off the bench told, plus probably their tiredness from pressing. Would be fun if they panicked & sacked Manning because I doubt a replacement would do much better & Russell Martin with their squad could potentially be a disaster.
