Boxing Day Ticket Question 11:40 - Oct 14 with 1419 views | bluesbrothers | Bit early with this one but does anyone have a view of what stage of sales Millwall is likely to reach, factoring in number of people in each existing tier, the allocation we'll recieve, and the demand for a away boxing day game with not trains. Got two tickets that I think would easily get a ticket (20+ and 15+) as I think it's 4000+, but wondering if I'd manage to get a third in lower tiers
Boxing Day Ticket Question on 11:48 - Oct 14 with 1374 views | Steve_M | Unlikely to get that low I would think, 15+ is probably pushing it. Fewer people in London at Christmas versus lots more people prepared to drive down the A12.

With the Prem allocations being 3000 there can't be many more than 3500 with many points tho?

Probably would agree with you on that. With Premiership 3000 allocations of last season, broadly speaking I don't think there can be significantly more than 3000 members starting this season with 20+ points because there were so few opportunities for lower-pointers to increase their tallies, it becomes self-limiting. For example: Only Newcastle and Leicester made it to 10+ in significant quantities (250 & 500 respectively). But although there must be 3000-ish at 20+, they're not all buying (yet), we've had a few high-allocations in a row so low-pointed members have had a chance to move up a bit, but I don't think there's many more high-allocations coming. Despite everything, the higher-allocations so far this season have comfortably made General Sale. Have sales to lower-pointers been enough to make the 15+ group larger than 4000? I'd say no, and with lower allocations in the run to Christmas I can't see it growing much more. With or without trains, boxing day in London is a popular fixture. Last season we were away at Arsenal if I remember right, that was one of the strongest selling games per window at the time. But Millwall's normally another big allocation though (like you say, usually 4k+), so although early days, I'd predict Millwall will make 5+ or Season Ticket, but not general sale.

I'd say that's a bold prediction. The highest bracket will likely be 40 points by the time those tickets go on sale. The last time we played them at theirs we only had an allocation of just under 3k. You mention Arsenal was a popular game to attend, and that was an 8.15 KO. The top tier of fans will always find a way to get to a game. I reckon it will get to those with 25+ point when it sells out.

Boxing Day Ticket Question on 10:20 - Oct 15 with 598 views | tractorshark | Allocation will be at least 3000 so I’d expect it to get to 20+ maybe even 15+ No trains that day and London is now dreadful to drive into on Boxing Day. And parking is not easy around The Den. Even Surrey Quays will be awkward on a busy shopping day. That will put a few off. Arsenal was a ‘newish ground’, we’ve been to The Den many times.

Arsenal wasn’t Boxing Day, it was 27th Dec.

No guarantee that we get both tiers if they are still going well, we certainly never used to. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

They seem to more often than not now if it’s a large away support. Can’t see Millwall of all clubs splitting a stand upper and lower.

Yeah not necessarily to give them more seats but rather to give us fewer.

You're right that the highest-pointer will be up to 40+, but my rationale is that the distribution will get more and more top heavy, whilst higher-pointers can stretch away at the top end, there's a barrier to entry at the lower end (due to not many higher-allocations) for lower-pointers to chase the pack.

They’ve given Leicester 3024 tickets if that can be used as an indicator in any way.

And Middlesbrough got the same earlier in the season. Just over 3000
