Poll: What sport is the most corrupt?

....seem that they are very close to embarking a period very similar to our now defunct "banter era".

It's got all the hallmarks.

Losing their long terms "stable" owner and being replaced by a complete novice at football club ownership.

A boardroom that seems totally inept.

A seemingly total disregard for fans.

A totally mediocre football team that could quite easily drift into the lower reaches of the football league.

Of course all of these things could just be short term and they could get out of it.....but it's great fun watching them squirm.

I'm shedding zero tears. But how strange not to consult on this before announcing it?

And as I've said before, they've broken a lot of eggs and not even made an omelette! What kind of improvement is this? Tin. Pot.

Having just read through the live blog, from a human point of view, it very much sounds like they have a bunch of LinkedIn charlatans at the helm, and you have to feel for the fans, especially as the board are clearly lying through their teeth and paying lip service to any concerns.

On the other hand, I kept smirking throughout.

Feels like a couple wins for them would lift the gloom quickly there but the underlying trend seems be one of anger and resentment. I wish all of them nothing but the worst. And then hope it gets much worse.

....and any ITFC fan expressing any sympathy for them is very odd.

Utter Woke Nonsense.

Sounds like their owners haven't got a clue what they're doing.

Just like their board.

Just like their Sporting Director.

Just like their manager.

Just like their players.

Their fans, to be fair, perform consistently - they BOO! at the ground, and they BOO! at their fan forums.

The scales of self-delusion are starting to fall from their eyes I think, and they don't have the players or the bottle or the connection with the fans for a relegation scrap.

I reckon they will go down.

I will never understand the whole 'you can't take the piss out of them because they're doing better than us' attitude that some football fans take when their local rivals(who happen to be in the ascendancy at the time) suffer a humiliation.

I'd laugh at Norwich getting a walloping if they were in the Champions League and we were in the Jewson League(although, if we were in the Jewson League, I'd probably see a game or two as I'd only have to go to Bury and Sudbury sutin).

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

So the fans we should feel sorry for are the ones who have gloated for the last 16 years, when the only reason they were 'dominant' over us was because we were poorly run, poorly managed with minimal investment and zero future planning?

Those fans?

Whilst there is a degree of Schadenfreude, for sure, I can't feel too gleeful about all of this, and have to feel a degree of sympathy for their fans.

This is modern football in a nutshell and, however 'good' our owners are, we are definitely not immune to this sort of thing. The seat moves for the Premier League, and the scrapping of the dividend for shareholders were a prime example of this.

Whilst we've only had small inconveniences so far, it's only a matter of time until we end up undertaking an infrastructure project that sees fans as collateral damage in the name of chasing corporate money.

You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright.

Does a poor season put them in a dodgy financial situation? According to a lot of sites they have the 5th highest wage still in the championship and seem to be running out of decent sellable assests which they have relied on in the past.
