We should stop throwing things at people on the pitch btw 11:23 - Oct 24 with 1465 viewsSmoresy

The thing aimed at the linesman on Tuesday looked substantial, thrown from block A or the lower tier. Objects from SBR 5 & 6 last time around? I don't recall this being normal for us; hopefully those near those responsible may stop it for the good of everyone.

Apologies if I've missed previous threads.

Quite, it's going to cost the club a hefty fine given it's two games in a row.

Hopefully the dickheads are identified and banned.

Especially as it would have looked like a very obvious correct decision from that area of the ground.

It doesn’t matter whether a decision was right or wrong, no one should throw objects onto the pitch. Just do the time honoured thing of shouting out abuse at them instead.

Believe the club have invested heavily in their CCTV cameras, no doubt they’ll find the culprit(s).

For Life bit harsh it's not murder. Yes punishment of some type but people are sometimes young and silly and please don't say agest.

I'm not sure being "young and silly" is even an excuse.

Calling someone a "w@nker" Ok, but throwing stuff at people. Most wouldn't do this in the street so why it is acceptable in a stadium.

Should be banned for a time (say the season) at least.

You see it in the premier league. Was it Palmer taking a corner and spurs and loads of stuff was coming on. OK maybe just plastic cups but still.

100% should not be throwing things and there is no excuse but I get the frustration with the officials - some have been ok, but as we saw before most are not fit to wear the kit. Frustration boils over but the officials should also be held to account - after all they get paid a fair whack

What if being young and silly ends up with a linesman (or a fan) being blinded? Got to make an example of these people and deter such foolishness.

Yes clearly offside, Linesman just doing his job correctly.

Depends what form that abuse takes. Best to run it by me first.

Should've stopped after your first few words.

Anyone throwing stuff, get them gone. It's only going to cost the club in the long run, and wtf is the point anyway? Ooh, big hard man throwing stuff. Grow up.

....I'm planning two likely outbursts:

"You rotter! That was a hefty tackle, be more careful!"

and

"Goodness me referee, that was a very poorly thought out decision! Booooo!"

Many thanks.

Not only that, who is to say that it's even someone young?

There's plenty of people in this world who are absolute weapons who are of a more advanced age. That idiot from Maidstone who "fell" out of the Cobbold was 59, for example.
