On the bench tonight.

Hope he can stay fit and fight for his place in the first team.

Rumour has it he’s lined up as Wardley’s next opponent…

Pretty damning from Maresca

"After the yellow card, I told him four or five times, keep calm. But Liam is a player inside the pitch, playing the game for himself and he struggles to listen to things around him."

Ouch!

Thought that was really cowardly from Delap. Dropping an elbow in , you could see him looking to do it as well. Really poor from him.

There is something in that though.

I always felt he was a lone wolf for us, playing for himself and not really weighing up external factors that could affect the team.

If he doesn't become more of a team player, that sale to Chelsea could become the best striker fee since Wickham.

Certainly felt like that. Especially as he grew in confidence

Sadly, completely agree with this. Lots of moments for us he took the 'Liam' option rather than the team option.

Still love him though and hope he can get this side of his game sorted. If he doesn't, he may not become the player he could be.

He definitely went looking for him. Fair chance he’d have had a straight red if he wasn’t already in the book.

Trailing vapour since 1999.

Agree with Meresca that he plays for himself. Head down player. Dribbles, shoots, and barges. The antithesis of the kind of number nine pivot the McK team of 2022-24 thrived on. Paltry two assists last season despite starting almost every game. Wasn't even very good technically in the air. Comparisons with Harry Kane are well off.
