Does anyone have any good recommendations for a decent office chair for home use? I'm going to get a standing desk so I'll only use it part of the day but i do have a history of back trouble so it needs to be fairly decent.
I have one of these in the office which is really good but a little on the pricy side .
Check out facebook marketplace. There is a guy with a warehouse full of office chairs near the London Road Lidl in Town, we got ours from there and good value for money. A whole range of types and prices... Fairly sure he had those chairs in there as well!
Herman Millers are amazing - check out office clearance sites / John Pye. I got mine about 6 months in to Covid for about £200 and it was almost brand new

I have had one of these chairs from spain for approx 10 years now, still in great order. No longer available on amazon unfortunately. Comfy and well made office chair for the price.
On a serious note, advise and pay the money for one that works for you even if it costs.
Jeez. It shows how sick the death penalty is, and that those involved in administering it know it, when they needed two buttons to protect the consciences of the arseholes prepared to push them. So wrong on every level imo. Taking a life is taking a life irrespective of a legal framework that legitimises it.

But if it’s going cheap I’ll have it
Certainly does. Nice bit of wood though! Good patina.
I’d love to see certain people got rid of like that animal on the train with a knife. But to completely contradict myself, I could never vote for the death penalty. As you say, it’s wrong at every level.

A million times this.
Save up and sit on a tea chest in the meantime if you have to

But most office chairs are actually really uncomfortable, as they're not built to be comfortable they're made to be cheap and sold in bulk and fit whatever the design aesthetic of the current thinking for offices is.
Which is exactly why you end up with a warehouse full of them.
If you want a really comfortable office chair, you've really got to look at those gamer chairs they make, and not the ones from Temu,, ones from SecretLab which arent cheap but its like mattresses you pay for quality. If you pay cheap you get cheap product.
