So I just got myself on the waiting list for a Season Ticket 12:06 - Nov 7 with 2174 viewsbaxterbasics

Has the club released any kind of data that would indicate how long the list is?

What kind of turnover there is from one season to the next? (obviously will depend on the team performance to an extent)

Anyone crunched the numbers?

Just wondering what the likelihood is of getting my shot for the 2026/27 season, or if I'm still going to be waiting come 2036/37

I think it is lip service. If the demand is there to sell or nearly sell the stadium out, they don't actually want a single season ticket holder.

There's been zero information on how many if any season tickets will be made available. I've put my kids on the waiting list, they were too young the last time you could actually buy season tickets to be worth it, but I have zero hope of getting them.

If we don't go up I imagine there's a chance a few seats might be sold, but really I think you've more chance of getting an away ticket at Oxford via the lottery.

In my opinion it’s just so they can gauge how much they can jack prices up again for next season.

I posted on here months ago about a discussion i had with a Town fan who like me was on his way to watch us at Newcadtle. Got chatting and the American sports model cane up and how they dont encourage season tickets (fixed income). If the demand is there ( as it would be in the PL(, they'd much rather have on the day ticketing, because they can in essence, charge what they like. Whether this model would ever be used by Gamechanger at ITFC, only time will tell.

Oooh is this an offer for one of those weight loss drugs?

I'm a season ticket holder and could do with a bit of reducing.

On the basis that few ST holders are/were under 25 and most have left at 75. Gives a minimum of 2% loss a year.
Plus, say, 3% for deaths between those ages.
Plus, say, 8% because they have kids/move away/change jobs/ loose interest.
That gives a minimum of 13% natural turn over. Say 1 in 8.
Expecting a turn over of about 1500-2000pa.

If this number was quoted by MA, I don't believe it's true.

As said earlier in the thread, surely out of 20k+ season ticket holders more than 6 people died, emigrated, went to uni, could no longer commit their time/money or were abducted by aliens in 23/24, despite promotion to the PL.

IMO there will always be a natural turnover of 2 to 3% each season.

As far as I understand there are plenty of dead, emigrated, went to uni season ticket holders at Liverpool. Their family just keep renewing on their behalf and using the tickets in their absence.

Suspect it’s a bit higher than that tbh. Prior to the takeover we had 10 seasons averaging sub 20k. Based on nothing at all in going to assume maybe 50% of season ticket holders are die hard that will keep it whatever and the other 50% subject to conditions on and off the pitch, of which in an average season there is likely to be 10-20% churn. Less when we’re winning, more when we’re not.

With the cost of living I reckon you’d probably get one if we continue performing as we are and don’t go up. Finish strongly but fall at the last hurdle and it’s more difficult.

Was the number stated at the fans forum.

Would place full faith in natural churn if we had limitless capacity. Now people need to factor in whether they'd like a ST in 2 or 5 years' time, or ever again in the unlikely but possible event we become an established PL club. I know of sadly departed blues who renewed from the grave this summer.

Have to remember there is the seat exchange. So the moved away/lost interest/abducted by aliens/only want prem fans can keep their season ticket at a cost of £23 a year without going to a single game.

You are literally just into the realms of RIP now. Assuming they are immediately notified, I'd be surprised if it was more than a 100.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

I think that’s right. My lad has gone to Uni this September but hes still got his ticke, but it still gets used in his absence.

The Season Ticket waiting list will help the club decide how quickly to rebuild the Pioneer stand and work out the financial decisions required. The club has started with the job of Revenue Manager. With our upward terjectery, ticket prices will rise but not like the Arsenals or Chelsea's of the soccer world. But with the opportunity of selling games when not available; the season ticket is a must. So get on the list.

What has surprised me, is that the resale seats are released even if the match hasn't sold out.

Not sure this is maximising revenue, but it's a great deal for ST holders, especially if you have a decent seat and are almost guaranteed to sell it.

The data that the whole system will provide is probably just as valuable to the club as the £40pppa that they'll get from the membership scheme.

New members as a result of the list will probably be one of the most interesting datasets; those who are willing to pay £40p/a merely for the chance of getting a ST at an unspecified point in time. They'll probably be seen as the potential cash cows.

You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright.

Pointless doing it in a high interest rate scenario. Its a big stand, it can't realistically be made a huge amount bigger, the club would be borrowing at 7% and have to shut it for 2 years. Just no actual benefit in doing it from a pounds and pence perspective until established in the Prem.

I know that was then, but it could be again..
