He is much more Eddie than Vyvyan, because he and Rick wrote that, rather than Ben Elton and Lise Meyer. Plus is lasted many years, whereas his time actively working on the Young Ones was only a few weeks.
His autobiography is worth a read if you are into that kind of thing (I'm not, usually)

Agree, I can literally recite every Young Ones episode, not matter how many times you see his stuff it never gets old. Live they were amazing especially when they'd stop and go off script to go after someone in the audience trying to be clever.
