I'd have had Greaves on for Wrexham - offers more attacking options than Kipre. With the lack of intent from Wrexham, Kipre's solidity at the back was unnecessary imo. |

Yep. As Joe said on Blue Monday, Wrexham offered no attacking threats down our right in Saturday so Furlong had no defensive duties. But his attacking play is very limited. Against teams where we will dominate we should be playing Harry Clarke or Ashley Young.

Which is odd because he was brought in to add a more attacking option to Donacien when we needed to convert draws into wins for the second half of the League One promotion season. We need that now. I don't see Furlong being any better than Janoi. |  |

Agree. Furlong is a step up from Donacien in almost every element of his play.
And to GB's point, Clarke was effective in L1 but was often exposed badly in the Championship.
With McKenna trying to build a promotion side and one that can also perform at PL level, Clarke is certainly not the answer. | | | |

I think if i've remembered it rightly, he'd mentioned in an interview he'd been playing an advanced role similar to that of Wes, so i think swansea moved him out wide compared to his Arsenal CB days. But perhaps KM was simply referring to a generic fullback role i guess. | |
