Simply isn’t good enough for a team that’s just come down from the Premier League. It wasn’t good enough last season even in the prem to lose as many games as we did,especially at home. But 7 in 17 when we have spent the kind of money we have over two seasons is appalling. We have spent an awful lot of money on a very mediocre team. And have a manager who has no plan B. Most teams know exactly how to play against us and we never have an answer. I know I will get downvoted by those that say there is nothing wrong with the team, there is nothing wrong with the manager. I cringe at saying this but more time is needed to properly judge. It's either going to go one of 2 ways, we continue to underwhelm, finish just in or out of the playoffs and don't go up, or we continue to improve gradually as the team continues to gel, use January to effectively and we are in the picture for top 2.
Right now it's hard to say which way it's going to be go but the start hasn't been either good or bad enough to say with certainty what's going to happen.

Some set an expectation we should win the league.
Some say top 2 is a must.
Others expect the playoffs as a minimum. (As do I).

The key with jan signings is to sign zero players with higher potential. We've got those. We need some steel and we need some mobility.

Yep. One of the more annoying things on here is people don’t seem to be able to understand what’s being said. Sometimes it’s like being in a farmer’s convention there are so many straw men flying around. Everyone seems to recognise we’re not there right now. Everyone knows Kieran isn’t managing to get it right like he did last time in this league. It’s all obvious.
The only thing that’s different is how people are reacting. Some people react calmly, others flounce, and there’s all sorts in between. Someone will be right once it all plays out and we can look back in hindsight. Kieran’s been through two blips and come out of the other side making the flouncers look stupid. Maybe this time the flouncers will ultimately be right though. Who knows (and who cares lol). |  |

The difference is this is an 18 month blip! I’m not saying what he has done in the past isn’t great,because it was, we all know that, but he got a huge pay rise last season. Money chucked at the squad 2 summers on the trott. Still though it doesn’t seem to be working. [Post edited 29 Nov 19:58]
