Philogene is certainly looking a different type of player scoring in spells and looking a little less consistent than Omari did.

He's been excellent since coming on, That's what you need when you've got a quick footed player, kit of skill to get a bit of space and get the ball to your team mates and then pop up with the odd goal too

I think creative players will always be inconsistent. It is ultimately about how often they do make the difference (whether that's scoring for themselves or creating goals for others).

Exactly that yes Glasgow, but much more of it. Friday it seemed to be the jayden show the amount of times he simply ignore davis and others. [Post edited 30 Nov 15:52]

Of course, if he was doing it more consistently he would be playing in the Premier League for Villa. The hope is that he will become more consistent which has been the case so far this season compared to last (albeit at a lower level).

I watched the Liverpool match. I guess it's a case of those he set up missing their chances is it?

| Omari giving Jayden a bit of food for thought since coming on on 21:44 - Nov 30 with 550 views | mellowblue | To be fair, Omari had plenty of gametime in the middle to learn about bringing other players into the game, whereas Jaden is purely a winger and being right-footed on the left is not likely to be so confident at whipping a ball in. Often wonder why we don't switch the wingers round occasionally to unsettle the opposition a bit. | | | |

Apologies hadn't realised. I made the post as many were discussing jayden and their annoyance of him holding onto the ball to much to get a shot off rather than playing Davis in. Just felt omaris appearence this afternoon was the perfect example of utilising their talents as I feel they are both similar in abilities. As I said in the summer and early in the sesson for me philogene was our omari replacement. He just needs to work on his team work overall. [Post edited 30 Nov 23:06]

Chris you've helped show a prime example of another thread discussion about how people respond to things on here. Just no need for for it. Im just praising hutch and saying that's what we need from philogene. Its not ott. It's not a hot take its just a view made about the game when there wasn't much else going on. Anyways going to bed now. Night

| Omari giving Jayden a bit of food for thought since coming on on 23:21 - Nov 30 with 270 views | MattinLondon | Omari is far quicker than Jayden and is also less selfish than him as well. Omari will probably spend most of his career in the PL whereas I’m not convinced that Jayden will. Saying that KM certainly made Omari a far better player during his Town career so hopefully he’ll do the same with Jayden. | | | |

'Hutch' doesn't play for us anymore, so how does praising him help Jaden? The comparison with Philogene implies that Jaden should do better, or is not as good as Omari. Chris was spot on with his response to you. You're trying your hardest to mask it, but you're just being old Frimmers, needlessly criticising players and then trying to blame it on others for 'over reacting' There's plenty of 'need for it'. Exactly. Back-tracking and rewriting history when an impulsive, negative thread goes wrong, as per.
