| Are we missing on 08:09 - Dec 3 with 550 views | cressi | Szmodics amongst many McKenna gets them trys to change them into a player they obviously are not. I'm not sure where this goes. I must be a Norwich fan as I'm not a disciple of McKenna. | | | |

Not heard, has McKenna said anything?

| Are we missing on 08:15 - Dec 3 with 483 views | Herbivore | I don't think Szmodics is the answer. Since he got injured, we've won 3, drawn 3 and lost 1, so 12 points from 7 games which isn't great but is better than our overall PPG so far this season. We also won the game he got injured in after he came off. The lack of a functioning number 10 more generally is a big problem though. Akpom a few weeks back was showing glimpses but he's been poor since, I don't think Sammy has the quality on the ball we need, and Nunez for me isn't a 10. I wouldn't have let Chaplin go, personally, as he has more about him than our other options. Whether we'll see him back in January, who knows. | |

McKenna won't have players back a sign he was wrong to star with.

True, to a point, but I think the point Guthers makes is SS tends to really harry and work hard - he doesn't do 'slow'. He's a tad more direct and very much a player who plays forward. I suspect he'd inject a little more urgency to our play. [Post edited 3 Dec 9:09]

Only if you judge him by goals scored. I was thinking more about what he does to an opponent's defence, running them around, getting into awkward spaces, wearing them down. The gadfly never giving them any rest. Nunez can also do that to an extent, but he instinctively drops deeper, looking for the ball.

| Are we missing on 09:38 - Dec 3 with 228 views | RegencyBlue | Possibly a factor but the malaise seems to run much deeper than that, for me anyway. The constant changes to the starting eleven are not helping, there is no intensity in our play, opposing managers know exactly how we set up and play and how to counter it. The worrying thing about last night was Blackburn were up for the game whereas we looked lethargic and devoid of ideas. | | | |

He's really not a striker though, he couldn't do the work we need our strikes to do.

Possibly we ask our strikers to do too much as they don’t seem to have that much of a goal threat.
