Even if you were unfortunate enough to have got the wobbly wheel in the football supermarket of life and ended up supporting 'them', why on earth would you go to support England in an Ashes game in Australia dressed in yellow and green?
If you have to publicly humiliate yourself, surely you'd choose an away kit in Oz?
It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

in England yes, when youre away in Oz nope
Agreed.
Wore a Town shirt at the ODIs in Antigua a couple of winters back; excellent conversation starter, and probably ended up chatting to far more people (tourists and locals) than we would have done wearing England shirts.
Even got chatting to a local chap who'd played for Antigua, and had been over to Ipswich on a tour about 20 years ago, playing against Ipswich Wanderers.

Absolutely that, i wore a town top for the ODI in Melbourne I went to, bearing in mind at the time I was getting the piss ripped for wearing an England top everywhere I went in Australia, and we were doing worse than this current lot.
And thats how I got started talking to the people sitting in front of me who I found out came from Woodbridge. If id been wearing an England top we'd never have spoken to each other.
