| French study on the all-cause mortality risk of the mRNA covid vaccine 20:00 - Dec 16 with 803 views | StokieBlue | Obviously we are a few years down the line now but I thought it was worth highlighting this study given there is still a lot of misinformation spewed about mRNA vaccines from many sources including people in powerful positions (looking at you RFK Jr). A long-term French study has been released which followed 28.6m individuals for 46 months to determine whether the mRNA covid vaccine caused a higher rate of all-cause mortality over that time frame. The main conclusion is that vaccinated individuals had a 74% lower risk of death from severe covid and no increased risk of all-course mortality over the 46 months. In fact vaccinated individuals actually had a 25% lower risk of all-cause mortality regardless of cause. Some of this could be due to lessening the long-term effects of covid infection and some may be due to socioeconomic factors. The study and statistical analysis can be seen here: https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamanetworkopen/fullarticle/2842305 SB | | | | |

| French study on the all-cause mortality risk of the mRNA covid vaccine on 22:05 - Dec 16 with 597 views | Swansea_Blue | I saw that last week. It’s an interesting observation that the vaccinated people may have had lower risks overall for other diseases. Although obviously it’s worth noting the paper points out not to read too much into that as there could be other factors at play. They were confident about the Covid protection though. As this is for mRNA vaccines, presumably that includes Moderna and Pfizer? My first one was the Oxford/Astra Zenica one, but then I remember them having some minor issues with that one and we pulled back from it. My boosters were first Moderna in Dec 21 and then Pfizer in Nov 22. I was a lot better when I caught Covid after being vaccinated than before, which nearly finished me off. I’ve never been so ill. So I’m all for this and would encourage the most vulnerable to get vaccinated still, as it still seems to be doing the rounds. [Post edited 16 Dec 22:19]

Yes, Moderna and Pzifer were the mRNA vaccines. I think the main point is that having the vaccine lowered the impact of any subsequent covid infection. People may have recovered from the covid infection but had significant post-infection issues related to the infection but not covid itself which caused mortality. The mRNA vaccines seem to have reduced this longer term risk. It's possible that the vaccine activated a "trained immunity" effect where a non-specific immune response occurs protecting against other diseases but research on this is ongoing I believe. The American Cancer Society are right behind mRNA vaccine for cancer. https://www.cancer.org/cancer/managing-cancer/treatment-types/immunotherapy/canc Happening in the UK also. https://pharmaphorum.com/oncology/beyond-covid-19-mrna-vaccines-aim-revolutionis

He does the same thing on every vaccine thread, I asked him not to contribute on such threads last time but he always posts rubbish like this. SB

After saying that, I'm sure you'll be presenting your own peer-reviewed paper on the subject, right? Right.......?

Oh, and claims presented without evidence can be dismissed equally easily. So jog on, mate.
