We were active in the summer , but you have to look at some of those transfers and ask what difference they have made , particularly in the striking roles . The finishing has been shocking all season from the out and out strikers , I think the one thing which most supporters would agree on.

I don't think price is the issue. And everyone knows we have parachute payments, that's not a secret.
The issue will be we want top notch players who we have to persuade to come here. And everybody else wants the top notch players. And the clubs with the top notch players either want to hang onto them... or hold out as long as possible for the biggest price.
We aren't going to sign a top notch striker on Jan 1st, so you'd better get used to it. |  |
