What are we expecting this afternoon? 08:20 - Dec 20 with 1234 viewsBlue_Heath

Logically another 6-0?

Realistically I think we'll make hard work of it. Gonna, stick my neck out say this is the day we come from behind (ooh-er) and win 2-1.

Wednesday have a better record away from home, they have conceded the same number of away goals as ourselves

An early goal is crucial for us, we really need them chasing the game

Their starting eleven is Championship and their bench certainly isn't

Agree, would need nice to boost the GD in case we can somehow get anywhere near second but fear it will be tougher than expected.

Lol they aren't that atrocious. I'm predicting 3-0 but a 2-1 win would best reflect their current goal difference.

That 6-0 was largely assisted by some bizarre Wednesday tactics playing into our hands. Danny Rohl said some very nice things about us beforehand, then gave us the 3 points. Wednesday supporters were fuming.

Can't see them being quite so welcoming today. The longer before the first goal the more the frustration from our crowd will build, which could make it an interesting watch as a neutral (as a non-neutral hopefully a fast start, early goal, and a comfortable afternoon and 3 points)

It would be pretty handy to actually go 1-0 down and then come back to win. Need to put this hoodoo to bed. Prove to themselves that 1-0 down is not an automatic draw or loss.

That would be very good - but also a risk that it doesn't happen!

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

Logically, I don’t see a 6-0.

They’ve had some tough days, but given their circumstances have also given a good account of themselves this season.

Think their first 11 is fairly competitive, but no squad depth is making it difficult, just the same players being churned out game after game is really tough.

Beyond the game, which I think we’ll win after a period of frustration early, I hope Sheff Wed can get a takeover resolution quickly, a real historic British football club.

2-1 home win. But a frustrating afternoon and no doubt a few boos at full time from some absolute dullards.

Yeah this.

I thought we would score 9 against Maidstone.

Sorry to say I have a bad feeling about it, possibly because I've failed to get my 'lucky' shirt washed & dried in time ...

But possibly partly due also to this being just the kind of game that we're expected to win, opponents in the ordure see as a winnable challenge because of our known struggles to break down sides that park the bus, only for us to then get sucker-punched by a quick break-away.

Please prove me wrong, KM & team! 🙏

Edit - oh, and JC to start please - we might need an early pen to score first if they have a back line of 11

2-0 and pretty dull I'd have thought. Probably more struggles to score against a low block. Maybe a set piece will provide the breakthrough. O'Shea header then Clarke with a late second.
