Yep, Tata has been brilliant on his doubles and with those 180s!

Go on lad! From 2 sets down, not pretty but through to round 3.

That was a tough match. Ryan was in charge of a lot of those legs, but on darts 7-9 Tata kept snagging a 180 and putting himself back in. Ryan was reeling from that, but showed good bottle to get the win. The better player won in the end, but fair play to the kiwi who kept himself in the match and almost nicked it.

Yeah agree with that. Perhaps a bit of inexperience from Tata in the end as the commentary alluded to. Meikle will need to play better if he's to progress further, please for him to get to R3 though as he's not managed it before and been a bit unlucky with the draw previously. Met Littler in R2 last year and gave him a good game, Peter Wright and Van Gerwen in the 2 years prior. Bit unlucky to meet top 10 players at that stage every year but this was his best opportunity, could see at the end what it meant to him to do it. £35k prize money, not too shabby. Jumps to £60k if he wins his round 3 game.

To use a McKennism, it was a low quality game

The third round is huge for him, fair play to the lad

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

It's likely to be Noppert which could be a bloodbath but a good experience for Meikle

He needs to hit more 180's, he looks a bit fragile but still semi-pro presumably, the consistency will come as he gets more of these big matches

180's would be nice but probably just as important to raise his floor too, he hit a decent amount of 120's and 140's but it felt like a good visit followed by a bad one. Too many 41's and 45's, quite a few stray darts to the left of target, seemed to hit the 5 too many times.

Don't suppose he'll care too much right now, still in at Christmas and in to R3 which he's never done before. And yes, he's still a barber by day I think.

Top Lad.
That was hell of a come back - proper example of Running against Adversity. Pulled himself back brilliantly. Didn't look comfortable for the first two sets so hopefully he can pull it round for the next round

Amazing how our dartists and boxers come back from the dead but our football team can't!

I think it will help him a great deal getting an evening game. Two lunchtime games haven't really got him going. He is a little bit slower than Noppert and that might be enough to put Danny off. Assuming that DN makes it through. Another set too in the third round. Very interesting.

I've jinxed Noppert there, not that Hood looks like he is going to be any easier based on that!
