He was immense yesterday, and in my view does far more defensively than Morsy, which does take the pressure off the defence.
As it is, a lot of the passes he receives from Walton or O'Shea are a bit like hospital passes, and he rarely gets the ball in a position where he is able to turn. [Post edited 27 Dec 2025 9:05]

Do you actually watch oshea or are you just a massive fan of wolfy you're pretending to watch oshea?
The biggest difference between the two players is that Oshea plays more long balls than wolfy. Some to Philogene, some to Davis, some zipped along for azon, nunez etc
Today he made the 2nd most passes into the final third which was more than Azor and Cajuste, Davis and Nunez. Furlong played the most. |
Watched our game followed by Coventry’s game yesterday. Didn’t see Wolfie give the ball away under no pressure, saw Dara do it twice. Would also argue Wolfie should be awarded the assist for Coventry’s goal
