Hirst is OK (not much more) but struggling for form, Azon just isn't good enough, much as I'd love to see him come good.

Our CF options are just so far short of what we ought to have, given the money we've spent, and if we don't sort it in January we can forget the top 2.

We were decent enough until the final 3rd today, but without a centre forward to link play, to hold the ball up, to sniff out chances etc etc we're ultimately toothless.

I think Azon should escape criticism as he's new to the league and hasn't had a proper run. Drogba was awful in his first season in England (obvs not saying he'll be like Drogba...)

Hirst is the problem as he seems to be getting worse. Of all the players that need time to click, he should be the last

Agree with this.

Whether we can find the right two players in Jan for any sensible money is debatable, but that should be the aim.

Watching the u21s and funnily enough reading Wark’s book my sis got me for Xmas, the club has to pump as much into its yoof system as it can long term to develop its own players. Infrastructure first, first team second. But that’s the future. For the now, see BUs post.

Disagree, Azon has been at the club for 6 months. You don’t need to be playing every minute of every game to appreciate what is needed. Unfortunately isn’t the level of quality we need.
Whose decision it was to bring him here I don’t know, one thing is clear, we need better, much much better.
