Azon, Akpom and McAteer absolutely woeful. Been hoping they will start performing but not even a glimmer of improvement.
Egeli is a young developmental player so can’t expect too much from him but overall, he’s been a bit disappointing in most matches.

There may be a glimmer of hope for Akpom if he gets a run of games as the 9. I'm not convinced as he doesn't look the type who wants to do the selfless dirty work but he does look to have that strikers movement in the box
I think we've seen enough to know Azon is not going to make it.

Many were worried by Azon goal scoring record when he signed. Exceptionally poor. Sadly, so it’s proved. £12M for McAteer is mind blowing. Akpom is performing like a journeyman counting his money. Even Jens has been underwhelming. Same with Furlong. Surely KM has to be held accountable? |  | | |

I think the situation would be improved massively if we had a full back who overlaps.
Every time the ball went to Egeli it was 2/3 on 1. Furlong nowhere to be seen.
As I said on another thread, he is so hopelessly unsuited to playing in a team who dominates possession. [Post edited 26 Dec 2025 15:51]

Not talking about the future. Talking about right now. He is so ineffective. So easy to defend against. He’s not particularly fast or skilful and he’s massively one footed. Maybe he’s a number 10 but I’ve seen nothing to suggest that in his current form he’s a RW for a promotion chasing championship team. | |

I don’t know who takes overall responsibility of it, I don’t know who leads the recruitment department - somebody from Man Utd I think which doesn’t fill you with confidence given their track record.
