Top talent. Good to see him coming into his own again now, was always levels above in a poor side at times last year that would clearly be good enough in Premier League. Hopefully one day he represents England in the senior squad as well.

Poll: Ok gut feeling then, promotion?

When you watch omari for forest and for England it really does puzzle me why he played so many games in our central role.

Should hopefully be some future profit % to come to us in the future. Which im glad to see as was taking with the new manager going in hutch might not have been involved as much so im glad its working out for him.

Great finisher and scares defenders with the ball at his feet rather than cutting inside like so much of our play at times. Not that there was a chance we were hanging onto this year, people were living in dreamland thinking that, as I said way before the end of the season.

Im hoping mendel develops well. From the footage seen he seems to do alot of the onari inside and out stuff. Think Joe mentioned off the ball he lacks at times so here's hoping he sorts that out.

His first touch (goal today excepted) is usually not consistent and his awareness of colleagues and crossing still needs a lot of work. Good business by the club, as he's a good player, but not as good as he thinks he is in my opinion. Could be wrong, time will tell.,

It wasn't "good business by the club" it was inevitable business, same as with Delap. They were our only Premier quality assets so were always likely to leave.

Whilst I didn't like the way Omari/his agent manoeuvred the departure it can't be disputed his talent, to do so is at best churlish but more akin to calling your ex, who you were besotted with, an ugly old dog.

Undoubtedly a good player who is now getting more starts with Dyche. If Forest are relegated (which I think is unlikely) it will be interesting to see who Hutch moves onto next.

Frustration is I thought he was on the same level as Cajuste last season.

The only Muff in Town.

I think we miss him cutting into the box, defenders are often too scared to make a challenge, we have a habit of cutting in outside the box looking for a shot and running into a wall of oppo players.

Thought him, Omari and Delap were the only ones who looked completely comfortable at that level. Obviously Delap far superior but I would have put Omari and Cajuste on a similar level.

The only Muff in Town.

Great for Omari BUT Stuart Pearce on commentary made me think of last season on 09:41 - Dec 28 with 468 viewsunstableblue

Stuart Pearce was actually very critical of Omari first half, and alongside Hudson Odoi critical across the whole game.

His main point is that Hutchinson, apart from some passages around the goal did not take on the man and hit the byline or open the game. Choosing go gong safe or backwards or losing posession.

I mean it was Man City, but it reminded me of last season when Omari (and Enciso and Delap) would get breakin forward and then just run into a cul de sac or turn the ball over by going into crowds. We just never hurt teams on the break last season.

I still think Omari is a great talent and set for a great career, and of late has been showing what he can do with assists and now a goal. And it’s great the madness of Nuno and Ange and the chairman seems to have settled and he’s back in Dyches plans. Seemed the wrong club for him due that turmoil.

Think we may have won those first two games with Omari in the side. He was definitely too good for the Championship.

He played more central in the premier league because he was seen as an upgrade on Chaplin in that role.
