I guess the club have no say in it ? presumably they’ll make more money from TV than crowds these days… I think long gone are the days when gate receipts made up the main financial income. [Post edited 28 Dec 22:18]

Exactly that… Sky couldn’t care less about the match-going fans. Although it’s less of an inconvenience to us than it is Cov fans… we’d have to take an afternoon off to get there anyway (or swap a shift / have an understanding boss), whereas as they have got to go out of their way to attend a home game. |  |
