Would suit us for the number 10 role, good footballer from what I have seen of him, mainly from his Millwall days to be fair.

Imagine we would have looked at him, either thinks he’d get more opportunities at Coventry, or we are looking elsewhere.

Regardless the 10 position is an area we need to strengthen, Chaplin looks the obvious one.

I think the fact they’ve let him go out on loan says a lot - they’re not exactly drowning in wide players at Palace, suggests they don’t think much of him.

With Burns & possibly even Ogbene back now, to rival Egeli & McAteer (& Johnson) on the right, plus our embarrassment of riches on the left, we are well covered for attackers on the flanks. It's the central areas of attack/striker & midfield that we'd expect the club & manager to be concentrating on for this window.

Some Premier League experience. 4 goals and an assist in 24 starts on loan at Millwall last season. A decent young creative option to boost their squad depth. Likely to be a very good player in the future. How much so this season time will tell.

If we do nothing else a CM and goal hungry 10 would be key and if the right players probably have the most impact. I would take a striker every window but being realistic on how difficult that can be to find and secure.

Decent at Championship level but perhaps not quite good enough in the prem?

Ogbene I don't believe will wear a Town shirt again unless because he can't play elsewhere comes on as a sub. As others allude to if Esse was that good palace would have kept him there.
