Sometimes I think about the frothing lunatics I’ve put on ignore, who will have kept replying to me again and again, but I don’t even realise they exist.

Fair enough, although it's been requested from certain quarters to BDS that things in the same topic should be kept in the same thread.

I do agree, this could have been a new thread but then no doubt that would have upset some people as well. It's incredibly fractious in the world at the moment and TWTD is a microcosm of that.

The trouble is, as Peru said - the thread was about one of the most brutal government slaughters of citizens I can remember in my lifetime (and well beyond the 2,000 in the title). Then it follows the usual diversionary comments, becomes a squabble and gets pulled. Happens every time.

The trouble is, as Peru said - the thread was about one of the most brutal government slaughters of citizens I can remember in my lifetime (and well beyond the 2,000 in the title). Then it follows the usual diversionary comments, becomes a squabble and gets pulled. Happens every time.


The comment I replied to though is one made by the starter of the thread in which he again bangs the drums of war (following on from Gaza). I think that on such matters of huge gravity it's fair that they are presented with the reality of what they thought was desirable.

I find it utter hilarious that Banksy has spent the entire time that he has been on ignore, replying to my posts and the only reason I know this is from replies to him from other posters.

edit. You can probably add that mouth frother who has down arrowed this post to the list. Although in fairness I rarely see his name come up in replies. So perhaps, unlike poor Banksy, he's learned to let go.

I find it terribly sad that you pretend not to spend half your time logged off to read the comments of those you supposedly ignore. I fully understand though how this approach benefits you in so much as you don't have to take accountability for your misguided thoughts and opinions.

Back on topic - what a fkn mess. I think it’s probably relevant on the original thread. Ultimately it’s still the people of Iran being killed. They’re still being violently repressed by their government and now also killed by the Yanks. Trump and Hesgeth have made such a mess of this and the people of Iran continue to suffer. In retrospect, the justifications for American attacks have been shown to be hollow and the people were offered false hope that’s made life more dangerous for them. Whilst the regime persists and if anything has been emboldened.

the regime has a massive recruiting tool now.

previously they've claimed america is evil and mad, and they now have evidence of this every time trump tweets, making disproportionate (and often empty) threats about civilian infrastructure. your regular iranian who might be disposed to stand up against the regime now sees a greater threat from the regime's enemies
