It got me thinking about signings who you were suprised by how good they were..
it would have to have been Burgess for me as one under the new ownership
100% felt league 1 was his level, but he just got better and better, ball control, passing etc came on massively under KM
Kinda feel similar with Kipre actually, from previous videos and previous fan thoughts, he's looked a lot better than I had anticipated.
Further back. I'd say Magilton, wasn't expecting him to turn out as good as he did. |  |

David Linighan.
Underwhelmed at his signing at the time but turned out to be a very good stalwart at centre half for us . Weighed in with a few goals too. |  |

Having given it some more thought in addition to Mark Venus who I was very unwhelmed by truth be told I recall turning up to a game where Jamie Clapham was warming up having been signed on loan I think without my knowledge ...I remember thinking who the hell is that and being concerned we had signed someone just for the sake of it...
