Sounds as if a may have offered Morsy something?

A place on the bench/part of the squad, but understandably wanted to start/play as much as possible.

Interesting - I don't read it that way.

Same. Sounds like Morsy was aware he wouldn't be starting week in week out here so looked elsewhere. I didn't get vibes that there was any sort of offer. Just a chat between McKenna and Morsy

Still feels odd we let him go at all, but can understand it if he insisted because he wouldn't be first on the team sheet - but then odder still for us not to demand a fee. I find it difficult to believe the 'gentleman's agreement' line. We've never really got to the bottom of it, and likely never will - or come to that what really happened in Kuwait. I would have thought he'd have got quite a few minutes on the pitch had he come back but hey-ho.

I would be HIGHLY surprised if Morsy was offered anything post his release to play very serious football, in a very serious league in Kuwait.

Indeed, that's how I took it, and that the Bristol City deal was already happening when he talked to Kieran. I don't think it was ever on the cards, part of the reason SM moved on in the summer as he wouldn't have been guaranteed a regular start.

1. Morsy will go through Matusiwa at some point during the match.

2. Morsy will join KM's coaching team when he retires.

I’d have money with you that number two doesn’t happen.
