| How are we all feeling today then? 07:57 - Jan 26 with 776 views | Keno | wasnt the most uplifting of weekends, but still it could be worse we could. Its Monday, the sun is shining albeit above the clouds and as a team the snowdrops of hope have popped their little flowery heads up through the permafrost of mid table mediocrity to be sporadically trampled on by the size 10 of frustration Check in, tell us all your ok and remember folks if you arent ok thats alright just talk to someone, keep in touch but be alone Remember TWTD is a sharing place of love, joy and harmony | |

| How are we all feeling today then? on 09:29 - Jan 26 with 597 views | Pinewoodblue | I had a mixed weekend listening to 5 live, and then Radio Suffolk, on the way home from my younger sister’s funeral didn’t help. On the positive side I filled up with diesel, on the way back, for the first time since August. Big test coming up next weekend as driving down to Eastbourne for another funeral. Have to plan it just right and hopefully manage to get there between “sweaties” a side effect of the hormone treatments I’m on for Prostate cancer. Will travel day before funeral, hotel booked. If anyone is interested I’m growing a nice pair of manboobs, another side effect. On the positive side I am experiencing hair regrowth in places hair hasn’t been seen for years. | |

Jeez mate. That's rough. I've had a mixed weekend. Done some great things with friends but the response here to the loss on Saturday and the disgusting events in the US over the weekend have genuinely got me down. I have a huge change in my life coming up in a couple of weeks, which is undoubtedely unsettling me a little, but reading your story of strength is uplifting mate.

Mine (Bears) isn’t. Got their @rses kicked last weekend. Boooooooo! My football team lost, Mrs C is miserable with a cold, I’ve lots of dull things to do (auditing accounts, checking paperwork for the final settlement of my dads stuff, setting up an iPad) the weather is grey and there’s rain tomorrow, On the upside, I had a nice day yesterday, an f off full English breakfast this morning. I’m seeing my Trump/rabid reform supporting mate this week (he’s mad but it’ll be fun), my new £500 electric golf trolley is due to arrive, I’m over my cold, the cats are happy, having fun and I’m looking forward to the game next Saturday. Treat every day as if it were your last. One day you’ll be right. Edit: it’s two years since Mrs C received a cancer diagnosis. Her subsequent recovery means that for me, dull things, poor performs teams and stuff like that is very minor irritations really. [Post edited 26 Jan 13:10]

Yesterday we cooked a joint of beef so had a lovely roast dinner so a good end to the weekend I guess.

Many thanks Keno. Been out with my partner today who’s recovering from her fifth round of chemo. Only one more to go now. Had lovely time, her first time outside the house since the chemo so pity it couldn’t have been a sunnier day but the pure joy of actually being out and about is justification in and of itself. Take happiness where we can find it.

Having been through prostate-related hormone treatment my thoughts are with you Pinewood. Remember too well the ‘hot flushes’. Bit of a bu**er but better than the alternative. Hope your treatment goes well.

Don’t know if I’m being dense here but have no idea what you’re on about BlueGnu. Had to look up Barbara Knox as no idea who she was. Vaguely remember Jack Hargreaves from How? many moons ago. Still not sure of their relevance to any artwork in my dining room but thanks for your kind birthday wishes anyway.
