If we fail to get promoted yes it's poor from all involved in the recruitment process in the summer, it gave us a horrid start and we were always playing catch up.
If we get promoted it's because we've used january to fix our away form issue by reinforcing the squad. Without the jan window, this side doesn't finish in the promotion places. imo |
We've been the form team in the division for months. Even with no additions we're in with a great chance of automatic promotion.
If we don't go up this year then I'd agree that the season was unsuccessful and our requitement would have played a part in that failure. If we go up however, it would have proven to be a success. It's pretty simple. |  | | |

I never said your weren't entitled to reply - but you're the one that said I shouldn't ask questions, which I didn't. I still stand by my original point - your premise is that the club has got it wrong, whether we finish top two or not. How is that not being unreasonably critical? What we did last summer got us to 3rd, with the best form in the division for 15 games / 3 months. | | | |

Because im talking about the players we signed that are about to be replaced or have already been replaced within the season, so for me can;t be classes as a good summer window. Azor is the outlier and an excellent piece of business.
Egeli is a miss really because he's pretty bad on the right. Very bright future, but it's not now. that's ok to say and it's negative just how it is at the moment | |

Many of those are the players that have developed into the team the form teams over recent months.
Azon is underrated imo, and beginning to show what he brings. Cajuste can offer his best all of the time for sure, but he makes a difference on many occasions. Egeli was always going to be a project / investment - if people think he's a miss, they're expectations were wrong.

I haven't turned, im pretty cool with the season and looking forward to the future games. None of my player thoughts have changed especially after '1 result' they were the same before the game was played as shared on here and most are felt by many on here too, apart from egeli, miss was probably the wrong word tbh with him, he's a future hit, but current miss i think. Summer was excellent, 3rd joint on points with 4th is excellent.
Akpom has been superb in the 10 role he was signed to do he hasn;t been dropped then 'injured'
Nunez next to azor as planned has been amazing. A perfect midfield duo - nunez hasn't been made a 10 because our other 10's were poor
cajuste has been motm every week with high intensity 70 minute long performances, he hasn't struggled through each game he plays and we get 10 minutes of luxury from him
mcateer has shown that ireland are wrong in selecting ogbene over him - he hasn't been in out in out, preferred by others
egeli puts omari to shame on the right hand side - he isnt a developing lad who's struggling at present to adapt to the league, he's amazing
Azon has scored double figures and we don't need another striker, he isn't a striker who's missed 13 clear cut chances,

It's probably because in our game against them, they were dreadful.
It's really hard being a parachute team, you can't plan effectively for the season because you're more likely to lose players right up until the window closes in the summer, and that means you quite often start the season with a different team to the one that plays in October, for example.
I think we're doing well given our slow start. We have made up a considerable points difference on the top two and we're well placed to usurp one, or both of them. |  |
