Which of our strikers is going to step up in our remaining 18 games 20:36 - Jan 30 with 543 viewsunstableblue

Azon?
Hirst?
Akpom?
Szmodics? (If he stays)

And get the goals we need to crate a really strong run of wins

Or are we reliant on Jaden, Clarke and Mehmeti??

I think it’s Azon!

It'll be azon but only IF KM gives him a run of games, stop this rotating striker stuff.

Agree - Azon. He does most things right, and hasn’t had much of a break yet. I hope he starts tomorrow. No slight on Hirst, he’s still important, but time to allow Azon show what he’s got about him.

Well carry on as we are. We divide the workload between Hirst and Azon. Hopefully a couple of jammy ones gets them going

Do you think switching the 65/25 mins roles is working though?

Thought Hirst played himself into some form against Cov at home, weak start to that game then grew into it… but then next game Azon is the 65

Wonder if it does stunt them gaining true form

I think we're reliant on Philogene and Clarke, primarily, with others chipping in. Because that's the way ITFC is set up to play.

I do think that Azon will score more goals in the remainder of the season. So often his chasing and harrying gets him into scoring positions, or to where he can assist. The 'keeper is not going to be able to pull off great saves every time.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

He's the least likely look at his previous goal tallies.

Not sure Akpom suits how we play so Hirst is the one if he can rediscover his touch and shooting boots.

Well in the respect that we're third and getting 2ppg, yes.

We’ll have to agree to disagree then. Azon has shown massive development imo, and been unlucky with several shots (denied by the post, outstanding save, etc).

He’s young, new to English football and seems to have a good footballing brain. Give him time, and imo he’s the one no.9 we have that could make it in the PL. Time will tell (if he get’s the chance)

Hirst, he just needs a goal or two and then he will be back in prime form again.
