Exactly. Who on earth goes to a match expecting a refund following a defeat ?

I'd rather we got our money back for one or two of our players...

Calm down and stop taking things so seriously. Perhaps easier if I spell out that the intent of the post is to highlight that it’s been a gutless useless performance from a weird almost defeat oriented team. Whatever though mate, if you’re happy with that then good for you.

Should not , that ridiculous. You know first team probably won’t play.

Club not interested in fa cup. Fans should be refunded. I think we would have conceded game if we could.
Players walking around and standing on the ball with 2 mins left then passing backwards.
No urgency and no running. No tackling
It was all about getting no injuries and that’s it.
If we don’t want to take the competition seriously then we shouldn’t bother to enter it

Let’s not do silly sarcasm, life is too short. I’m disappointed we’ve not really tried to get through to the next round of the FA Cup, that is all.

We haven't been interested in any of the Cups for years. Anyone turning up tonight would have to live under a rock if they didn't think we'd be putting a B team out tonight

Have you considered that it went exactly how KM wanted?

Anyone travelling should have been prepared for that.

No. The fans went there with excellent knowledge of our awful results record in Cup matches over the last 20+ years, and must have known that a defeat and a limp performance were a very likely outcome.

Nevertheless, I’d have expected better from our regular non-starters - we need to be able to maintain quality if (lord forbid) we get injuries. Palmer was the only starter tonight who came out of it with real credit I thought.

Did you want us to win the match?

Even the independent Second Tier podcast said it would be horrible for us if we won given the fixture congestion it would make with the cancellations.

As it happens, yes I did.
Our non-regular starters need keeping match sharp, particularly in case of injuries (lord forbid); and personally I enjoy a good FAC run, as I know many others do too - can be a great morale booster for fans, players & all club staff (including backroom ones) alike.

Completely agree. I want us to win, always. It's good for confidence and feeling about the club. I'm baffled by any town fan saying no I didn't want to win that one and I'm fine with it.

I totally disagree.

Winning the match would have made our fixture congestion appalling with two league matches needing to be rearranged and barely anywhere to put them in the schedule. Probably would end up with us playing 3 league matches in less than a week and massively effecting our promotion push.

Sometimes one needs to look at the bigger picture. It's all good giving the squad matches but that wouldn't change the fact that matches need to be moved.

We all want to win but in this case it's probably for the best.

Have you looked into the congestion of fixtures it would have caused?

If we had won then great but it's really no bad thing we didn't.
