A good watch, but two observations:
1) I didn't realise that 'sled development' was such a big part of the sport; hence why teams like the USA and Germany excel, and others like Romania struggle to challenge the medal positions. Should it not be a standardised sled, so that it's a true test of the athletes, and not the money that their Olympic Associations can plough into R&D?
2) How come the teams only ever seem to be referred to based on the driver's name? Don't think I heard any of the brake-men get mentioned. Do they play a part, or are they just squishy ballast? |  |
