I don’t know what’s happening there but seeing them the other week live against Chelsea, they didn’t look great. Ok, Chelsea are a different level, but they looked only marginally better than we did last season.
Obviously they’ll be ok this season but they seem to have lost their best players and offer very little. The ground, which is in need of a major upgrade, maybe absorbing money or they may be keeping it back for the new manager.
If it’s the latter, Palace would represent a significant step up for McKenna and a great opportunity. Unlike here, he’d have the support of all the crowd that really gets behind their team, even if they’re cr@p as they were the other week.
But do managers get the support of the owners and CEO that McKenna gets here? I’ve no idea and that’s something that might be a factor for KM, as it was when he came here in 2021.
Whoever Palace choose, they’d be wise to appoint a permanent manager now so that he can have time to get to grips with the club before next season. I don’t really understand the benefits of this ‘interim’ milarky. |  | | |

As I've said before in posts on this site, managers come and go, they always will. The only thing that remains constant at this (or any other ) club is the supporters. The likes of Sir Alf and Sir Bob left, ( and KM's got a long way to go to get near to filling those shoes ) we survived, whatever happens, we will again when the time comes and it will at some point. | | | |
