It genuinely baffles me when people argue that this isn’t a particularly low quality Championship this season.
That sixth play off spot has the potential to accommodate something quite awful this season and then we’re in lottery territory…
The chance of Preston and Derby stinking their way into the PL is becoming a very real possibility.
Thankfully, we’ll have sealed a top two finish and can watch that potential horror unfold with a mixture of morbid bewilderment and barely-disguised amusement. [Post edited 20 Feb 21:08]

Preston are dreadful and a complete representation of most of the division.
Play it safe, squeeze the space, congest the midfield, don’t concede, hope to nick one on the break or from a set-piece and sh1thouse throughout keeping the ball out of play as long as possible.

Certainly can't argue with the assessment that it is low on quality.
I would argue that doesn't make it easy. Indeed, when teams go toe-to-toe playing football the best footballing team usually wins (but sometimes doesn't). It is when teams know their limitations and use all means they can to stop the opposition winning and try to snatch something out of the game that it can become very tough. Especially if those teams are very effective at doing that. Clearly several teams in the top 6-10 are very capable at stopping teams playing. |  |
