I can think of 3 times in 50 years when I have been. 1-7 v Peterborough, 1-5 v Norwich at PR and 1-4 v Bolton when we needed a result to have a chance of staying up in 2002.

Chris Marsden. Best away goal I’ve seen scored at Portman Road in 50 years..

Once was away at QPR under MM we should have gone for the win,but instead played for the draw and it went tits up. Again coming out of PR under MM on a cold Winters night there was only about 11’000-13’000 in the stadium, and having witnessed a bore fest.Trudging up to the station thinking why do I bother, still the team was full of proper blokes all loved on here so I was wrong to feel that way.

VT will tell you the Norwich game was my fault. The fact that Bart decided to go walk about has nothing to do with it..

Usually because you know they have more potential than what they have been able to demonstrate on the pitch. Usually its more annoying or disappointing, not anger! Take Bournemouth or Everton at home last season, or Barrow, or Maidstone in cups, or ManU 9 nil years back versus Wrexham. These are all slightly different and evoke different reactions. I was actually quite annoyed the way we went out of the fa cup before losing from a winning position last Saturday against Wrexham.

| How many times have you been angry with the team since you’ve supported them? on 09:12 - Feb 23 with 444 views | mellowblue | I rarely go further than disappointment and vague annoyance, but a strong possibility for anger would have been the last game of the season against Millwall in 1997 when a win for us might have put us in 6th and playoffs and a win for them might have got them out of the relegation zone and both teams played out the dullest 0-0 draw possible. Needless to say we finished 7th and Millwall were relegated on goal difference. TBF the results went against us anyway and we could not have got 6th with a win, but we barely tried. | | | |

Others are more obscure, 1-5 home defeat to Charlton in 1995 and 1-2 home defeat to Crewe in April 1999 which ultimately cost us the 2nd auto place. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

| How many times have you been angry with the team since you’ve supported them? on 10:36 - Feb 23 with 405 views | Ace_High1 | Strangely the Leicester home game last season. Because we sat back after we scored (not helped by KP sending off) but it felt like we were playing into their hands. Yes the ref was rubbish, but felt like we had to win that game, for the points but to change the context of that whole first few months of playing well but being unlucky, and we will get there. | | | |

The Crewe 1-2 game was one of the wettest games at PR I can recall, should have been called off. Also the midfield that day for Crewe included Danny Murphy and Jermaine Wright and ran the show and we could not get our game going. Very bad game to lose at the time, but in hindsight, winning at Wembley the following year made it worthwhile.

I had no recollection of Murphy and Wright playing for them, that does help to explain the outcome. I do recall the torrential rain, which just added to my foul mood!

| How many times have you been angry with the team since you’ve supported them? on 19:36 - Feb 22 by backwaywhen | Brugge away after being 3-0 up from the home leg then losing 4-0 away , just couldn’t believe it happened in front of my eyes …..great trip beforehand tho Those really were the days. |
I made the 'drunken' trip but never got to see the game. Belgium police rounded up a large group of Town fans a couple of hours before the game kicked off. Kept us all in a detention room and released us all without charges and a drive back to the stadium as the game finished. So, no real anger as we hadn't watched the game, just more shocked that we'd lost.
| How many times have you been angry with the team since you’ve supported them? on 16:28 - Feb 23 with 319 views | HighgateBlue | I suspect I have a very low threshold for getting angry, but a very high threshold for actually wondering why I bother. Which may just mean I enjoy being angry, and also that that is a reason why I support Town! The 5-1 was a horrible, horrible, day. Certainly the most painful game I've attended. Norwich are on the rise again, but hopefully days like that will not occur any time soon, or indeed ever again. | | | |

| How many times have you been angry with the team since you’ve supported them? on 20:11 - Feb 22 by StochesStotasBlewe | A lot of times over the last 56 years. It used to ruin my Saturday night when we lost back when I was younger but the most annoyed I’ve ever been was 2018 at home to Hull in a half empty stadium. I walked out after 46 minutes after they scored the third. Fuming doesn’t do it justice. |
Snap ….we were just finishing a beer in the lounge when they scored that 3rd , drunk up and went home .
| How many times have you been angry with the team since you’ve supported them? on 18:12 - Feb 23 with 252 views | stonojnr | yep 2 of those 3, and probably only because I missed the Peterborough game in person, though it was on tv wasnt it ? as I think it was the Ipswich beer festival when it was down at the water front then as we'd spent the afternoon there, then went to the student bar in the James Hehir building to watch the game, and then came back and drunk more beer. so I was only annoyed that I could have spent more time productively at the beer festival instead of wasting my time watching them f it up, once it gets beyond 5 goals you're just kind of resigned to the result so I cant say I was angry about the result. | | | |
