| Hull tickets - why so many spare seats? 13:17 - Mar 3 with 2907 views | mattyboar | Is it because it’s a rearranged game and ppl already had plans, supporters not engaged enough in this seasons promotion push (not as big a story as 23/24 but we’re in an exciting promotion chase), people just love to watch it on tv or something else? It can’t be the price (for this game anyway) as it’s £25 - any ideas? This isn’t a dig post, I’m just curious on people’s thoughts. I think it’s a combo of easer of tv and apathy hangover from last season. | | | | |

Just admit you don’t find it as fun as watching us in the premier league

| Hull tickets - why so many spare seats? on 14:14 - Mar 3 by Guthrum | Just had a quick count up of seats available in the main sections of each stand (I may have missed a few in the smaller areas). SBR 142 available SAR 793 available West 1,181 available Cobbold 414 available Giving a total of 2,530 That's not very many really, when you look at most grounds in the division and how things were for us only a few years ago. Plus some of those might be snapped up by people making a late decision to go. |
Maybe my take of lots is skewed by a graphic which appears more than there is! With 21k season tickets, that's around 6-8k sold (including away). So maybe not as bad as i thought.

I wouldn't call seeing us beaten 14 times out of 19 much fun, but appreciate many of our fans did like to enjoy seeing the big names, TV stars and egos playing on our pitch. I just did really enjoy our one victory. Incidentally KM is the only manager ever to win just one home game in a full PL season. The other 3 clubs who won 1 in a season used multiple managers.

| Hull tickets - why so many spare seats? on 13:50 - Mar 3 by Pinewoodblue | Many season ticket holders live away from Ipswich, others will not take young children to midweek home games. Your comment is disingenuous. |
I also know people who live in Ipswich who won't be going tonight because it's midweek, on TV, etc

It tells you how many seats are available in each block now when you click on it.

Spot on. 280 mile round trip for me, including negotiating the M25 and A12 in rush hour. Not everyone can walk to the ground or get home after the match by public transport.

That was a 5:30pm kick-off on Easter Monday. Not quite the same as 7:45pm on a Tuesday night. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

That game being under the lights is a myth.

Genuinely presumed someone had taken the time to count each seat, thought it was a bit OTT but each to their own! I will know from now on.

| Hull tickets - why so many spare seats? on 13:43 - Mar 3 by ParisBlue | Yep, mainly because the business case is to increase revenue outside of match days. Increasing the capacity to 40k as has been mooted seems a lot whilst we're in the Championship (I don't want us to be one of those clubs that doesn't open certain parts of the stadium on matchdays). In truth 33k-35k will suffice, and until we're back in the PL, I don't think there's an immediate need (probably a next decade thing) |
Get a Japanese sponsor and player and 40k will be plenty, lol

After several away games on the trot, that's not a great excuse.

Hull only bringing 600, too. Apart from that and the other points, perfect comparison!

After tonight there are another 12 games to go. After we beat Southampton, in 2024 there were just 6 games to play

Same here. I wasn't going to bother tonight, but the A14 roadworks being called off changed my mind.
